WALNUT CREEK POLICE DEPARTMENT2+ weeks agoAgencyARRESTS MADE IN DOWNTOWN ROBBERY Date: December 5, 2023 Case #: 23-38521 Location(s): 1500 block of Bonanza St. Crime Description: Robbery – Penal Code 211 On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at approximately 7:36 PM, Walnut Creek Police Dispatch received a 911 call of a robbery on the 1500 block of Bonanza St. Walnut Creek police officers responded to the scene and located two victims. The victims said they were approached by three male suspects wearing all black clothing and masks. One of the suspects was armed with a dark-colored handgun. The suspects stole the victim's wallet, pistol-whipped and stole the bag of the other victim, and fled the scene in a white Lexus. The victim who was assaulted sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Walnut Creek Police Detectives, in coordination with the Oakland Police Department, located the white Lexus in Oakland. Walnut Creek Police Detectives arrested two suspects, Elias Alcorn and Daymonee Johnson, and recovered stolen property from this robbery. Both were booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for the following charges with a bail of $250,000: •PC 211 – Robbery •PC 245 – Assault with a Deadly Weapon •PC 182(A)(1) – Conspiracy to Commit a Crime The Walnut Creek Police Investigations Bureau continues to pursue investigative leads related to this incident. Suspect arrested on suspicion of starting fires in El Dorado and Amador counties On October 23, 2023, El Dorado County Sheriff's Deputies arrested an individual for a CAL FIRE-related warrant in El Dorado County for three fires that occurred in Pollock Pines in mid-September. Since the individual was taken into custody, he has been charged with two additional fires, totaling five fires between El Dorado and Amador counties. With assistance from CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office, and the El Dorado County Fire Protection District, Steven Saunders, age 27, was arrested and booked in the El Dorado County Jail on suspicion of arson and starting fires at the following locations: • A structure fire on September 13, 2023, at 2:33 a.m. at the Taco Bell Building at 6454 Pony Express Trail in Pollock Pines. • A vegetation fire on September 13, 2023, at 9:48 p.m. behind the Family Dollar Store at 6524 Pony Express Trail in Pollock Pines. • A vegetation fire on September 14, 2023, at 5:18 a.m. behind CVS Drugs at 6450 Pony Express Trail in Pollock Pines. • A vegetation fire on October 21, 2023, at 4:00 a.m. in the area of Meadow View Road and Shenandoah Road in River Pines. • A vegetation fire (the Ore Fire) on October 23, 2023, at 3:39 p.m. in the area of Highway 49 and Ore Court in Logtown. Through evidence obtained at the fire scenes, all fires were determined to be arson. CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers work diligently to investigate all fires and apprehend those suspected of starting fires. The car started speeding slowed before trails end street passenger door open a women said her son was stealing her car and please call 911 she said she didn’t know what was wrong with her son but he was stealing her car. We called she started walking towards the Latter Day Saints church on Northgate we pulled up said we are calling she said there is my son I don’t want the police called as he was now down the street stopped and out of his car on drivers side. This seemed to be a scam so we reported to police. This is happening in various cities be careful She had bangs short brown hair, blue jeans, brown shirt, thin jacket, he was tall, dark hair, white t shirt and jacket or shirt over t shirt11Like7

WALNUT CREEK POLICE DEPARTMENT2+ weeks agoAgencyOn December 14th, 2023, Walnut Creek Police arrested Darrell Lipston for residential burglary, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, and violation of probation after committing several burglaries in the 100 block of Pringle Avenue. Patrol Officers (Patrol Team 5) immediately obtained leads and, with the assistance of the Investigations Bureau, conducted a probation search of Lipston's residence in Pittsburg. The search revealed that Lipston was in possession of all the stolen property connected to these burglaries. WCPD arrested Lipston, transported him, and booked him at the Martinez Detention Facility. WCPD Patrol officers returned the stolen property to the grateful victims.
