This surprise shot makes the horses scared, with some jumping up and down, while others move about, disrupting their formation. Some cavalries are even thrown off their horses, while the guards on the watchtower laugh aloud. This humiliation causes the count to be enraged, but before he can do anything, the guard speaks again to him.
"Just like I said... pipe THE f*ck down and get on the line if you think yourself as a civilized human beings. Or else, another one will slice through your head like a watermelon on a firing range before you even know it, capiche!?" – Marine
The cold tone of the guard is like a cold bucket of ice water dousing the Parpaldian cavalry. Now, as they look over at the watchtower, they can see a few figures brandishing some weird kind of firearms, similar, yet so different from what they themselves are using. The fear of the unknown eventually creeps into their heads, as none of them dare to go forward or withdraw. All they can do now is to dismount and wait in front of the gate.
Eventually, after half an hour, the gate of the Courveil Harbor perimeter opens to let a staff car out. Stepping out of the car are Lt. Colonel Tuan and Commander Inne of the Allied Expeditionary Force. Both of them are in their full-dress military attire, with a pistol holstered on their hip.
"I am Lt. Colonel Tuan, commander of the Japan Cosmos Marine forces stationed in Courveil." – Tuan
"I am Commander Inne of the Qua Toynian Royal Army, accompanying the Japan Cosmos Marine. What do you want here?" – Inne
Both commanders step forward with hands placed on their pistols. Seeing this, Count Barentos tries to put up a brave face again.

Hearing that, both Inne and Tuan's eyes twitch a little bit, and the grip on the latter's pistol grows tighter.

They have asked the Governments of the countries of the Rodenius Continent for asylum and are under the protection of both Japan and Qua Toyne with permission from the Government of Parpaldia." – Tuan
"Yes, and as far as we are concerned, the Emperor of Parpaldia has declared that slavery is now illegal in all of Parpaldia isn't he? Do you wish to rebel against your own Emperor? What do you think would happen if he gets a word about this?" – Inne
The Count steps back in fear and intends to run, but not before another person gets out of the car. The figure is covered in a cloak, so from afar, there's really no telling who this person is.
"So... the Lord of Wevelcroen. Quite far away from home, I see. However ... with all due respect, how are you intending to capture those refugees?" – Man in Cloak
"W-What...?!" – Count Barentos
"After all, just like these two said, the people inside this port are under their protection. How are you planning on taking them? By a siege? You surely know that the Japanese can easily supply the city, through both sea and air, and none of our ships could stand against their ships that can fly. Yes, you heard me right, their ships can fly, something that you should learn already if you are keeping up with the news. What I must say, Barentos, is that what you're planning to do is a foolish endeavor. And you can't just charge in there as these foreigners are still under the protection of the Emperor."– Man in Cloak
